Virtual Focus Group organized from EU delegation in Albania
On November 16, 2021 USIA PROJECT was invited to be part of the virtual focus group organized from EU delegation in Albania and the European Commission team from DG NEAR, DG ECFIN and DG EMPL (employment) to discuss on Albaniaβs Economic Reform Program (ERP) 2022-2024 which is under drafting process.
A special focus during the meeting was given to the education and research and innovation issues and policities to be implemented in the next three years in Albania. It is for this reason that Mr Kamil Valica from DG Employment and Mr Andrew Williams from DG NEARΒ had a focus group meeting, in order to discuss more in detail on innovation support and design of incentives, and knowhow transfer to private sector.
USIA Project Leader, Prof. Assoc.Dr. Nevila Xhindi, introduced the group with the key objective of USIA and our upcoming pilot programmes on Second a Researcher, which will provide concrete cooperation between academics and business enterprises in Albania. Also, USIA Quadruple Helix Network will serve as a platform for engagement, meet and match, and collaboration among different stakeholders.
